Refund Policy

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

ALL DAMAGES MUST BE REPORTED UPON DELIVERY 

You must refuse any shipment that rrives damaged. By signing the forms you are stating that any item(s) were received with no damages

To start a return, you can contact us at contact@modernhouseusa.com or    (800) 505-6241. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Backorders

All items on backorder are subject to a 10% fee if you are to cancel your      order(s)

 

MY ITEM(S) ARRIVED DAMAGED

 If your items unfortunately arrive damaged, you MUST refuse the shipment. After you have refused, send an email to contact@modernhouseusa.com and we work on getting this damaged item(s) replaced. By signing any release forms you are stating there are no damages on your arrived good and you may be subject to fees.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Item not fit through door or room?

Modernhouseusa is NOT responsible for incorrect measurements if an item does not fit through any part of your house. Customer will be responsible for paying shipping fees and restocking fees.

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Customer is responsible for ALL return shipping costs

All items MUST still be in original packaging

All damaged products must be reported within 2 days of delivery

Barclay Butera: Customer is responsible for shipping charges and 25% restocking fees

Sonder LivingUnopened items may be returned with 15 days of receipt, there will be a 25% restocking fee and the customer is responsible for return freight fees

Legion Furniture: Returns can ONLY be made within 7 days of receiving product, a 20% restocking fee applies. All damaged products MUST be addressed at the time of delivery or customer is responsible for any additional shipping costs

Arditi Collection: Any broken pieces must be reported within 5 days, and products must be returned within 2 weeks of purchase. A 22% restocking fee applies

Jennifer Taylor Home: All returns must be made within 2 weeks, and are subject to 20% restocking fee

My Fireplace Products: A 20% restocking fee applies, fireplaces must show no sign of installation

Manhattan Comfort: 20% restocking fees and products must be unopened

Mr. Brown Home: All sales are final 

Lilola Home: 20% restocking fee and customer pays for return shipping costs

Swiss Madison: 30 days to return item and a 20% restocking fee applies

Jeffrey Alexander:

All requests for returns must be made within 60 days of the time of purchase. Items must be returned in their original packaging. We do not accept returns on custom orders. A 23% restocking fee applies.

Alfi, EAGO, Whitehaus: Products must be returned within 30 days of purchase, a 23% restocking fee applies.

Altair Design: All items returned are subject to a 32% restocking fee. If you wish to return your item(s), you are responsible for shipping and handling charges. Freight charges are non-refundable. Upgraded shipping charges are non-refundable after return.
